The redesign incorporates a 1 degree wedge that slides into the bracket and secures it to the level body. My level measured 14.6mm x 38.3mm. About 2mm shorter then I believe the original model was design for. Aside from that the original design looked great.
Mine adds a shim that slides into the bracket and secures it to the level. A also did 3 different thickness slims to get that perfect fit. The shim is designed as a wedge and should slide into the bracket in the direction of the arrow on the side.
