🚀 Core One – Elevated Feet with Front Power Switch (Remix)
Tired of reaching all the way to the back of your printer just to flip the power switch? Me too.
This is a remix of the excellent Core One Feet v2, modified to solve two problems at once: giving your printer a bit more breathing room underneath, and bringing the power control right to the front where it belongs.
And yes, the switch is bright orange because... obviously.
🛠 Hardware Needed
To complete this mod, you will need:
1x Rocker Switch: (e.g. Marquardt 1855.1104 Wippschalter 01855.1104-00 or any compatible 19x13mm rectangular rocker switch) — In Orange, of course!
4x Crimp Terminals: 4.8 mm female spade connectors (Flachsteckhülsen) to connect to the switch.
Fasteners: M3 x 25mm lens head or capscrews
💡 Note on Wiring: This mod does not require any extra extension cables. The housing is designed so you can carefully reroute and use the factory wiring loom.
⚠ Safety Note: You are dealing with mains voltage (110V/230V) when extending a power switch. Ensure your printer is completely unplugged before starting, use properly insulated spade connectors or heat-shrink tubing, and only attempt this if you are comfortable with basic electrical wiring!

🔧 Installation Tips

Route the factory power wires safely beneath the printer chassis to the front, ensuring they are clear of any moving parts or hot areas.
Enjoy the sheer convenience of a front-facing power button!
