After extensive testing in Ansys Fluent for aerodynamic properties like low drag and boundary layer separation delay, I have released the incredible replacement slider for some models of the Yeti mug. This model has the 8mm x 3mm neodymium magnet slot built in and sized already so it should still pop in nicely without further modification. Pause the print AT the first layer that skins over the hole and insert.

Note: before you pause the print to insert the magnet you should check which way the magnet should sit in the premade hole. Drop your magnet on the actual lid and see which way it sits so it remains centered on the slide area and at one end of the slide area or the other, then mark the up side with something so after the pause you dont get it wrong and have to do it again.

Important: Remember that heat kills magnets. Heat a magnet and it dies. Junk. So use as little bed temp as possible during the print to reduce the exposure of the magnet to bed heat. I get that your coffee is hot too but lets just be smart.

This should be printed with PETG and on a smooth sheet. PETG for food safe and the heat resistance. The smooth sheet will give the same feel as the original. In other words more friction. If you print it on the pebbled sheet it moves a bit too easily but will still work nicely. Make sure that after the print finishes and before you release it from the sheet that all edges have cooled to room temperature and that they are still stuck hard against the sheet. Warping will allow the lid to leak and weaken the magnetic hold down force.

Note: mine was printed in PETG at .007mm. Superfine. The bottom layers need to be excellent because there is only a few to five layers between the bottom of the magnet and the top of the mug lid. Make sure they are good layers or there might be leakage.

Note: I put elephant foot compensation in the design so your slicer will not need it.

Note: the magnet slot is already oversized for print shrinkage by 0.16 mm in diameter.

Note: see dimensions to confirm that it will work for your mug.

Note: mine has some side to side wiggle just like the original so that was planned.

Note: you will need some support under the square vent holes

Dont blame me if this causes you irreparable harm because you were too cheap to buy the real deal.
