This is my version of the Ultimate Arcade Stick. I enjoy playing a lot of older arcade games that play best with a 4 way joystick, so I wanted an arcade stick that was switchable between 4/8 way without having to take it apart. This uses the Ultimarc ServoStik that has been programmed to be hardware switchable. It uses a DPDT switch to change modes and LEDs to indicate which mode it is in (red for 4 way, blue for 8 way). I also put in a cheap USB hub and mounted USB ports for future add-ons like a spinner and/or trackball. I have had best luck with the Ultimarc Mini-PAC encoder interface, but have also made one with the cheaper encoders available on Amazon, so you can make it however you want so long as you can get it all to fit!
The whole thing was designed to be able to be printed flat (with exception of corner pieces) on my Core One so I could have a really nice finish with the textured build plate. This was designed by me (a beginner) in Autodesk Fusion, so forgive any oddities in the drawing as I am still learning.
I have included the latest F3D drawing if you want to edit and make it your own as well as STL exports for easy printing. The photos of the finished project were printed with Prusament Urban Grey PETG.
Enjoy, be kind, and have fun!!
