The inverted electronics mod is one of the best upgrades you can make to a Voron Trident, but the original design has one frustrating weak point: the frame mounts use cutouts that the DIN rail is meant to slot directly into. In practice, finding DIN rail that fits those cutouts cleanly is almost impossible, and wrestling the rail into the tight pockets turns a five-minute job into a fight.
This mod fixes that. Instead of forcing the rail into the frame mount, it splits the work across two parts: a frame mount that bolts to your extrusion, and a separate rail mount that screws onto the frame mount and accepts the DIN rail with ordinary screws. The rail mount is covered in mounting holes, and you only add heatset inserts where your particular rail's holes actually land — so it works with any DIN rail you happen to have, no perfect-fit hunting required.
The kit is four printed parts: 2 frame mounts and 2 rail mounts (one set for each side).
Print Settings: For these parts I used standard Voron print settings just to be safe. The parts print face down which gives them the strongest bonds for the directions they will experience force.

Preparation — Install the Heatset Inserts
Set all of your heatset inserts before you assemble anything. Doing this on the bench, with the parts loose in front of you, is far easier than trying to seat inserts after the brackets are mounted on the printer.
1. Frame mounts. Install the four M4×4×6 heatset inserts into the frame mounts with a soldering iron, keeping each one square to the surface. These are the threads the rail mounts will bolt into.
2. Rail mounts. Hold your DIN rail against each rail mount and note which of the rail mount's holes line up with the rail's mounting slots. Install an M3×4×5 (Voron standard) heatset insert into each of those holes — only the ones you'll actually use.
With every insert seated, you're ready to assemble.
Installation
1. Mount the frame brackets to the extrusion. Fit the M5 T-nuts and M5×16 button head screws to each frame mount first. With the screws and nuts loosely assembled to the part, position the mount against the extrusion, slot the T-nuts into the channel, and tighten the screws to lock it in place.
2. Attach the printed rail mounts. Position each rail mount over its frame mount and fasten it down with M4×16 BHCS screws threaded into the M4 heatset inserts.
3. Secure the DIN rail. Fasten the rail to the rail mount using M3×10 button head screws, each with an M3 washer under the head. If your DIN rail has larger mounting holes, add an M4 washer under the head as well so the screw seats cleanly against the rail. Snug everything down and you're finished.
