I wanted to use a different set of casters than the INBXX was designed for, so I created this adapter block that fits the footer profile and securely bolts into the bottom using original mounting points.
Designed for a GD-40F center post caster wheel, these adapter blocks allow for up to an 8MM center post and a 14mm nut or bolt head.
To attach the feet you will need some longer hardware than originally called for in the INBXX BOM:
- M5x20 (8)
- M3x25 (8)
- THIS REQUIRES the caster feet bottom profiles.
Installation:
1 - Remove the original foot hardware if installed and the two pairs of M5 and M3 screws in each corner, these will get replaced with our longer versions. Leave the button head screw holding the bottom acrylic panel installed. There's a recess in the adapter block that allows it to fit over it.
2 - Install the 14mm nut into the back of the adapter block and thread the caster threaded profile into it. Make sure everything is no more than flush with the nut recess in the print or it could press on the bottom plexiglass panel. Do not install the caster yet or you won't be able to access the M3 screws for installation.
3 - Install the adapter block by aligning the profiles and installing the M3 and M5 screws
4 - Install the caster to the threaded profile
5 - Repeat 3 more times
