A quick solution to add pop up headlights to 1/10 scale RC bodies. You'll need:
2x mini servo
2x 2mm shafts (I used 35mm)
2x paperclips
Minimum 4-channel receiver (5 if you want lights)
5mm LED bulbs (if you want lights)
A piece of translucent plastic (for the headlight lenses; a piece of a milk jug works great)
You'll need to print the following parts:
2x Headlight
4x ShaftMount
2x ServoMount
Once you have everything, just cut out the fixed headlights from the body shell, glue the cut out pieces to the top of the headlight housings, and assemble as shown in the 2nd photo. I connect the servo mounts to the body shell with double sided tape. You'll need to tune the servo set points and program your transmitter to actually operate the headlights.
