This is an attachment clip for a Playstation VR2 controller (PSVR2). It allows me to attach things solidly to the controller. I am using it for the purpose of attaching a drumstick to my controller so I can use it as a putter attachment for the game Walkabout Mini Golf. However it could be easily repurposed for attaching other things.
Requires that you remove the safety wrist strap, since it uses that strap-hole for stablization.
If you are modifying this design, make sure not to block the outer "white" surface of the controller ring. That surface contains hidden infrared LED emitters that the PSVR2 headset uses to track the controllers. That's why this attachment is entirely "inside" the ring.
