Upgrade your archery game with this fully modular, 3D-printable arrow component kit! Designed to fit standard 8mm wooden dowels easily available at any hardware store, this kit lets you build custom, budget-friendly arrows without the hassle or weakness of printing a full-length 60cm shaft.
🛠 What's Included:
Arrowheads (Points): Front tips designed to slide snugly onto your 8mm shaft.
Nocks: Rear slots to securely snap onto your bowstring.
Fletchings (Feathers): Designed to be glued directly onto the shaft. Two material options included depending on your setup (TPU for Traditional, PLA for Compound).
⚙ Essential Print Settings
🚨 CRITICAL SETTING: You MUST use the Arachne wall generator in your slicer (e.g., Bambu Studio / OrcaSlicer). If you use the classic wall generator, the fine details of the fletchings/feathers will not print correctly!
Recommended Material & Infill:
Fletchings (Traditional Bow): Print in TPU (Flexible). They need to flex when passing the bow riser.
Fletchings (Compound Bow): Print in PLA / PETG. Rigid fletchings work great here.
Arrowheads (Tips): Print in PLA / PETG with 8 Walls (Perimeters). This ensures they are incredibly durable, heavy enough, and won't shatter on impact.
Nocks: Print in PLA / PETG with high infill.
🔨 Assembly Guide
The Shaft: Get an 8mm pine/wood dowel from your local hardware store, cut it to your desired length (e.g., 60cm). Alternatively, I have included a printable 25cm plastic shaft (8mm) if you want a 100% printed mini-arrow.
Gluing Tips & Nocks: The arrowhead and the rear nock can be easily glued onto the 8mm shaft using standard superglue (CA glue) or epoxy.
Gluing the Fletchings: For perfect alignment of the feathers, I highly recommend using a Fletching Jig. You can find a great printable if searching for FLetching Jig.
