Voron 2.4 Nevermore Filter - USB Connector Mod
This is my remix of the original Nevermore Filter for the Voron 2.4.
The goal of this remix wasn't to change how the filter works, but to make it easier and more affordable to build.
What changed?
🔌 USB connectors instead of DC magnetic pins
The biggest change is replacing the DC magnetic pins with USB connectors.
The original magnetic pins work great, but I found them to be:
Hard to find in many countries.
Easy to order the wrong type.
More expensive than they should be.
USB connectors, on the other hand, are inexpensive, widely available, and can be found almost anywhere. If one ever gets damaged, replacing it is simple.
This modification has been applied to both the Main Bed Fan and the Side Filter assemblies.
🔩 Screw-secured covers
Another improvement is the addition of screws to secure the covers to the main body.
I've seen several users mention that the original covers could become loose or were difficult to keep firmly in place. Adding screws makes the assembly much more secure while still allowing easy access for maintenance.
Functionality
Other than the connection system and the screw-mounted covers, nothing has changed.
Same airflow
Same filtration performance
Same overall design
Same installation procedure
This remix is simply intended to make the project easier to source, less expensive to build, and a little more robust for everyday use.
As always, full credit goes to the original designer for creating this excellent project. I only made these quality-of-life improvements for the community.
If you build it, I'd love to see your makes and hear your feedback!
