Why is it ugly?

It's a feature! This is the basic humanoid model for MOST 1:100. It lacks details so you can modify it. There even is a Fusion 360 file attached! Just open the files in your preferred 3D software and start modding!

MOST 1:100 stands for Magnetic Open Source Toys in the scale 1:100. It's a standard for compatible toys.

The 3 rules of MOST 1:100

  1. 1 real meter = 1 toy cm

  2. Use ∅ 5mm × 2mm neodymium magnets

  3. North is always facing upwards

It's open source!

Everything here is completely free. You can use it every way you want. To make your modifications visible, add the MOST 1:100 logo in your  thumbnail.

Bill of Materials

You can order the magnets from Jeff Bezos himself. He told me he would include a personal thank you song with each order.

Or you support your local dealer (if you want to afford it, its much more expensive).

You'll need a lot, one action figure uses 4 of them (one in the head, two in the torso, one in the legs) and you will want to have some for the counterparts, too. Get 100 or so for the start.

Slicing and Magnet insertion

Align seam to rear (for cosmetic reasons). Slice the model, navigate the slider on the right to these two layer positions, right klick on the slider, add pause.

When the print pauses, insert the magnets as specified here.

If you have questions and inputs get in touch! Happy printing!

WARNING:

SWALLOWING MAGNETS MIGHT BE FATAL!!!

Magnets and 3D printed parts are in no way suitable for small children. They might break and leave sharp edges, so make sure the kids are old enough to know what they're doing!
