This is what I believe may be the first openConnect-compatible houseplant mount. Work in progress, I hope to make other sizes. Share any feedback.
This pair of parts is an openConnect "general holder" created with the parametric designer, and a pot liner generated with DanMat's parametric pot generator.
The liner pot has a lip sized to fit on the top ledge of the openConnect mount, leaving a few millimeters of "breathing room" for water drainage and supporting healthy roots. The inner pot has drainage holes. Walls are 1.35mm wide.
Best of all, the notched cutout in the outer shell serves 2 purposes:
Easy removal of the liner pot, to take it out for watering if desired (if your outer holder didn't come out watertight!)
Provides a little "peek" of color, allowing you to use beautiful contrasting colors between your liner pot and the holder.
Print settings:
Outer holder - 5 bottom layers (we're waterproofing, here). 5% infill, I like grid or adaptive cubic for this because I saw a lot of support around those rear brackets.
set 3 minimum walls, the outer walls printed with 4 due to the width.
