I mostly design display stands for retro game console controllers, games, and consoles like the SNES, NES, Genesis, etc. so I needed a way to organize the controller's cable to make the display more clean. This is what I came up with. It follows my mantra of less filament, less time while still being rigid and strong.
This cable wrap can be used for most cables (not just retro game console controllers) 2 meters or shorter.
There are 2 notches on each end so that you can prevent strain where the plug meets the cable. Place the plug on the far end and notch the length of cable to the other far end and then wrap from there. By reducing the filament needed, I was able to incorporate holes along the sides and the contoured ends where you can run a twist tie or zip tie to cleanly keep the cable in place.
