New style controller holder for any trigger (pistol grip) style slot car controller. The old styles were not secure enough. A controller that is not well balanced, especially with its cable pulling it sideways, could easily fall off or be knocked off the old style. I added stabilizers to the old style, but that wasn't enough on it's own for some controllers.
After the initial concept and a few prototypes, I came to this design. It comes in three versions. The winged versions are for controllers with a "black box" that is near to the track. Most black boxes have some kind of hanger, but not all tracks have a convenient place to place it or hang it. If your track is like that, then print the wing versions. If the controller holder will be to the right of the controller hookup, print the Wing Left version. Print the Wing Right version when the holder will be to the left of the hookup. Or, do what you want, I'm not your mother. :P
Be sure to allow enough room for the trigger of the controller when you hang the holders. The top of the screw holes should be close to the top edge of your wall/surface or bracket so that the trigger does not get stopped on that object.
Print in whatever material you want. Supports are not needed, but a brim might not be a bad idea for the wing versions.
