highly recommend you print it in food grade ASA or PETG to avoid issues with the sun degrading the plastics harming the bees. if you were to keep it more indoors or somewhere cool and shady you could get away with using high quality PLA. but to avoid the bees getting anything toxic best to stick with the ASA for their safety. i dont recommend printing it in black as it will cook the water and speed up unwanted growth/grime. should fit standard water or soda bottle threads. however i suggest you maybe use a mini soda bottle to keep the center of gravity lower. i do not recommend a 2lt bottle. i think that would break it. the whole model was made entirely in tinkerCAD. 

for best printing quality and results i recommend printing the table top waterer portion on its side with supports. you may also be able to print it at 45° which will result in better overhangs on the hexagons. but its because there is a hollow space for the water to come from the bottle. the hollow space will be an overhang if printed flat and supports would be very difficult to remove from the tight spaces, if at all. so on its side with supports on is the best in my opinion. it will preserve the wood grain as well.

update: i have test printed and redesigned my original the first had a vacuum issue this redesign should fix the issues. there is 2 different sized threads now as well there is one for a smaller bottle and a standard soda bottle. 

To make it extra sturdy and possibly allow heavier bottles you can add infil modifiers on the opposite side of the water bottle something like 50-75% in a decent size portion of the table and maybe print the benches higher infil.
