I needed some cage bolts for my 3D printed 10" rack, but didn't want to wait for the shipment of cage nuts and bolts. So I decided to design them myself so that I can print them.
I also added a thumb-bold so you don't need tools to assemble your rack mount gear.
Print advise
For the best result and strength I used the following settings and material:
Filament: Creality CR-PETG
Nozzle Temp: 250 ºC
Bed Temp: 70 ºC
Cooling min/max: 30%/80%
Layerheight: 0.08 mm
1st Layerheigt: 0.16 mm
Sparse infill density: 15%
Sparse infiill patern: Gyroid
I think the layer height is the most important setting, as it makes the object smooth and fit best.
