This is an extendable compact tripod perfect for carrying around, without being in the way. It folds out at the end of it's legs by 180° to make it bigger. Lock the position with 3d printed screws.
I wanted a small and compact tripod, that still isn't too small, after my main tripod was way to big for taking on hikes. I tested it on multiple occasions and I've improved the design. That's also why design in the photos is different to the final version, the latest version is rendered. The mount rotates 360° and it is gopro mount in my original files to which you can mount a gopro-to-camera adapter, or print a gopro-to-phone adapter, but I've also added step files to the 360° cylinder (if you want to design your mount).
To assemble the tripod you need some screws (also found in the pdf file). They must be stainless steel!
- 1x M5x12 (round head, Allen)
- 3x M5x35 (round head, Allen)
- 3x M5x25 (countersink)
- 7x M5 nut
- 1x M5 nylon nut
I suggest printing with PETG, ABS or any other stronger material (good UV resistance, good temp. range, etc). This differs from where you will be using the tripod. If you're left-handed, I suggest mirroring side_legs_R&L.
