V2 update - Fixed a few minor artifacts and added a chamfer to the drop hole. If you have the original, probably not enough to warrant reprinting.
Redesigned the inside of the bin to aid the smooth flow of the purge pellets into the chute. The original version has some obstructions that pellets can get stuck on and the space between the wiper towers would catch pellets. The new geometry funnels the pellets down to the chute.
Print 2 walls, 15% infill. PETG/ABS/ASA/PC/PC-CF
NOTE - Static charge from the purge pellets can be an annoyance with both this model and the stock Prusa design. The pellets can build up enough static charge that they “jump” out of the bin.
I did some experimenting with ESD filament, and both ESD PETG and ESD PC dramatically reduced the static buildup and the number of pellets escaping the bin. A few pellets still escape due to the aggressive cleaning movements, but in my testing, the problem was reduced by a huge margin.
If static buildup is an issue for you, printing the wiper base/bin components in ESD filament may be worth considering.
