A practical 10-to-9 frame spacer designed to easily convert standard 10-frame honey super boxes into evenly spaced 9-frame setups. Spacing 9 frames evenly encourages bees to build deeper comb for higher honey yields, easier uncapping, and smoother hive management.
File Options & Assembly
10 to 9 Frame Spacing Tool (FULL)- Main body printed as a single piece for larger print beds (e.g., Prusa XL).10 to 9 Frame Spacing Tool (SPLIT)- Cut down the center to fit standard/smaller print beds. Features built-in snap-fit joints (with supports) along the split so the two halves interlock securely.
Handle Assembly (Both Models): The handle piece is required for both versions. To assemble, align the handle with the designated cutouts on the top of the body and press firmly until the snap joints lock securely into place.
Recommended Print Settings
Material: PETG (recommended for outdoor durability, chemical/weather resistance, and structural flex for the snap joints)
Layer Height: 0.15 mm
Orientation: Files are pre-oriented in their ideal printing positions.
Bridging Speed: 10 mm/s (Slowing down bridging speed is critical for achieving clean spans across the handle overhang).
Supports: None needed when sliced with tuned bridging parameters.
