Inspired by Märklin's 74636 bridge (I had a version of it for M-track as a kid), I wanted to see if I could develop a printable bowstring bridge that works for C-track. The Märklin original part is about $40 as of the time of model creation. I did use an LLM to create part of the OpenSCAD file, but it has been developed with lots of human time directing it - my OpenSCAD skills aren't quite as good as I'd like them to be. The bridge is complete with gusset/joining plates, millimeter-precise spacing for C-track, and plenty of room for overhead catenary if needed. You can see a BR 103 on the track for reference.
Printing: This can be printed as a single piece on a Bambu Lab H2C or H2D. I tried it on an H2C with the right nozzle, turned about 50°. Printed with supports on buildplate only, which is all you need. If you choose to split the file, please do so carefully. If split right down the middle, the vertical post/stringer becomes a bit too wobbly and can cause a print failure as it reaches the top. But, I'm sure there are creative ways to solve the issue. I did try on Prusa Core ONE, though it didn't have enough space to print as one piece.
The bridge is visually and functionally different from 74636, I wanted to go for a more complete-arch look that would integrate well with single-spans, as would fit on the layout I've been preparing. Hope you enjoy it!
