---Warning---

Your drone will likely exceed 250g with the propguad mounted

This might absorb low speed impacts and REDUCE damage on high speed ones. This will NOT make your drone invincible. I am not responsible for any damage your drone might encounter.

With that being said, I have hit a couple of trees already at ~20kph and it was fine.

---Hardware Required---

4x: M3x16
2x: M3x6
4x: M3 Heat set inserts
2x: M3 Nut

optional: 2xM2x6

I inserted the printed inserts for the clamping mechanism from the bottom.

---Print Suggestions---

I printed mine in TPU-GF. This retains the toughness of TPU, while being stiffer and deforming less on impact. I have not tried advanced engineering filaments like PA or fancy Carbon stuff. I suspect brittle filaments just break on impact instead of deforming. PETG did not work for me at all (instant break on small impact)

I used 5 walls,  15% infill, and 4 bottom/top layers

Remember, most of the strength comes from the outer most material. Do not waste weight on infill.
TPU-GF

I did not use supports for the overhangs. Instead I sped up the overhang speed to prevent the TPU from dripping down.

---Description---

It is a propguard for the 3 Inch version. It protects your propellers from your wall, or the wall from your propeller, depending on your speed.
It mounts via a clamping mechanism, and holds very secure. The battery holder has 4 mounting holes, though I only use 2 for weight.
My version weighs 80.8g. It does have a significant impact on flight characteristics, but for cinematic flying I like it. It flies more settled. You feel the additional drag and weight. I myself fly smoother and with less throttle bounce. While flying I also am at a significantly higher throttle, and get roughly 3:30min (5:30min with clean drone) flight time on Sub250 720mAh 4s. A roughly 35% reduction.

If you ever do a indoor / outdoor flying (eg on a job), I can highly recommend this model.
