Air360 Stevenson Screen Enclosure is an outdoor housing for the air360 air quality monitoring station.

The enclosure is designed to place the air360 ESP32-S3 shield, the controller board and connected sensors inside a ventilated protective body. It helps reduce the influence of direct sunlight and rain splashes while keeping airflow around the sensors.

This enclosure can be used for outdoor and semi-outdoor environmental monitoring, air quality measurements and Sensor.Community compatible monitoring setups.

What's new in version 2

Version 2 is a refined iteration of the original enclosure, based on real outdoor deployment experience.

  • Larger diameter. The body has been scaled up to provide more internal room for the controller board, the air360 shield and additional connected sensors, as well as improved airflow around them.

  • New top cap with a dome opening. An alternative top cap variant now features a 50 mm opening designed to accept a transparent dome - the type commonly sold as a CCTV camera cover. The dome lets ambient light into the enclosure, making it possible to connect and use a light sensor while keeping the interior protected from rain.

  • Cable pass-through in the base plate. The base plate now includes a dedicated opening that lets you route cables into the enclosure from underneath, directly to the device.

  • No more printed pole mount. The printed pole_mount_bracket has been removed. Under prolonged environmental exposure it tends to sag and deform over time, so a metal bracket is recommended instead. I used a simple L-shaped steel angle bracket - the kind normally sold as furniture or shelving hardware. Any similar metal angle will work: just drill the mounting holes where needed to match your pole or wall.
