Sofirn ST10 paracord headlamp holder

Turn your Sofirn ST10 into a lightweight headlamp.

This simple 3D printed mount adds another function to the already versatile Sofirn ST10, allowing it to be used as a headlamp. The idea is to make the ST10 an even better single-flashlight solution for travelling, hiking, camping and outdoor trips, without having to carry a separate headlamp.

The printed part holds the flashlight and uses a very simple headband made from paracord and elastic cord.

For my prototype, I reused an elastic cord that originally came with a pair of water shoes/sandals. I simply tied it with a knot, as shown in the pictures. However, I recommend using or printing a cord lock sized for your elastic cord, as this makes adjusting the headband much quicker and easier.

For comfort, I added a thin layer of EVA foam to the surface that rests against the forehead. I strongly recommend adding some kind of padding here. Other good options are a small piece of neoprene, dense packaging foam or similar soft material.

The design is intentionally simple and lightweight, with very few additional parts. It is especially useful if you already carry the Sofirn ST10 as your main flashlight and want to avoid packing an additional dedicated headlamp.

Note: Adjust the paracord and elastic lengths to fit your head comfortably. The exact cord lock required will depend on the diameter of the elastic cord you use.
