I use my iFixit bit driver quite often and occasionally I need to apply torque/leverage to the handle with a wrench. Whenever I do that, it mars the handle, even if I use a piece of cloth. You can see in the pictures that I've marked up the handle already. Plus, the driver handle is a tri-lobe (triangle) design meant to fit nicely in your hand but that doesn't work well with wrenches as it doesn't have 2 flat sides in opposition to each other.
This model fits snugly over the driver handle, gripping the 3 lobes and also providing flat surfaces for a wrench or a set of pliers to grip. It protects the handle from being marred and is meant to be a consumable item. I printed my ring in PLA+.
Added bonus: if you cut away the foam in your iFixit driver set there's just enough room to fit the ring.
