Hot-Key button board for Voron2.4/Trident, like the Bigtreetech HBB, but the Bigtreetech HBB uses a RP2040 micro controller to recive the ssignal from the switches and to control the RGB light, which means you have to add one more MCU into your config file just for these buttons.

So i designed this board, it only require one Thermistor port and one RGB port on your mainboard, and you can connect two boards together to get 14 buttons.

And the LEDs require klipper_led_effect to operate.

  1. Mainboard RGB & Thermistor port   >   KeyBoard 1 IN

  2. KeyBoard 1 OUT port                           >   KeyBoard 2 IN port

     Calibrate

after the assembling, you will need to calibrate every single button

  1. Copy the button (Explanation).txt file to your config folder, setup your thermistor Pin and restart the printer.

  2. Open Fluidd/Mainsail on your phone, go to Console, enetr (QUERY_ADC NAME=adc_button:{your_pin} PULLUP=4700). before hit SEND, press down the button you want to calibrate, with the button pressing down, send the (QUERY_ADC NAME=adc_button:{your_pin} PULLUP=4700) command, and check the resistance value return from console.

  3. Repeat it couple more times, and write down the highest and lowest value on to a paper, for example, Button1 / Lowest 956.** / Highest 1003.**

  4. Open button (Explanation).cfg file, and go to [gcode_button button_1] > analog_range: , and set it to (930,1010), set the upper limit slightly higher and the lower limit slightly lower than your measured values to leave a small margin for error (tolerance), and the Button_1 is done calibrated.

  5. Repeat the above steps for every buttons.

     Printing

  1. Print the Key Cap (Base) with Clear PETG material.
    (2 Layers Wall)
    (4 Layers Top&Bottom Surface)
    (100% Sparse infill dentsity)
(Turn off Support & turn off Brim)

  2. For the Key Cap (Shell), You can use any material you like, but i printed with Black PETG as it has a better surface quality.
    (2 Layers Wall)
    (4 Layers Top&Bottom Surface)
    (100% Sparse infill dentsity)
(Turn off Support & turn off Brim)

  3. After done printing, remove the build-in Supports and Brim from the Key Cap (Base).

  4. Glue the Key Cap (Shell) and Key Cap (Base) together with SuperGlue, but before that, you can try put the Key Cap (Base) into your (Key board shaft) and see if it's fit, you can adjust the print setting and re-print, if it's too tight or too loose.

  5. If you want to install it on the right side of the printer, you just need to Mirror the STL file in the slicer.
