The Need

I needed some signs to prohibit magnets around some old magnetic storage. Unfortunately the standard set of ISO7010 signage doesn't include such a thing so I made my own in that style. Others have made similar as well, but this one is mine.

Premade Files & Printing

I've included files in 50mm diameter and 80mm diameter because those were the sizes I wanted. Both are in STL and STEP format for those that wish to do multicolor prints. I couldn't justify the waste myself, so I simply used paint markers for color on mine. The different "layer" heights of the elements should help others that wish to do the same.

I printed my examples at a 0.2mm layer height using a 0.4 nozzle. The features should be fine for any height you wish as the designs are very basic. Any nozzle size below 1mm should do as well unless you are trying to print very small.

Parametric for Any Size

I've also included the FreeCAD source file so the symbol can be scaled to any size or element "layer" heights as needed. Simply edit the Base variables under the VarSet in the file and export the group plainly called ExportGroup.

The angles of the magnet symbol and the slash bar for the circle can be adjusted as well. I tried to keep them from overlapping too much in my settings, but that may not be to your tastes.

Parametric Caveats

There are other groups of variables aside from Base that can be edited, but you will need to experiment on your own to figure them all out. The magnet tip and "vibe" details get a bit lost when the diameter is set below 30mm, so approach that value with caution and a very detailed printer.

Public Domain

This should already exist in the ISO standard and it's not a brand new concept. Use it in good health.
