Hello!

THIS IS A EXTREMELY EARLY PROTOTYPE

Originally I wanted to make a simple desktop tool part organizer for myself, but then remembered that I had this project in the back of my mind so I decided to kill two birds with one stone.

Even though DeskPi's Rackmate TT is pretty affordable at around $50. I live in Finland. I could wait for shipping and what else, but my laziness made me want it faster. So I made it. I wanted 10" rack that can be turned into ~7" rack by flipping. As mentioned this is heavily inspired by the DeskPi Rackmate TT.

This is a very early prototype of the design. Every other design has some weird designs choices so I wanted to try something a little more industrial standard and simple. I don't any good pictures of this yet but the design uses M3 screws and nuts for connection points. Then M6 nuts and bolts for the actual thing that is mounted on the rack.

The reason for usage of regular nuts and bolts is because those are wide available in hardware stores without having to go through Aliexpress for heatset inserts. I personally want to make things as easily buildable as possible utilizing M3 nuts and bolts. I might need to change it to M4 for the next revision but we will see. Regardless I want to keep it extremely simple to print and extremely simple to built.

If you do decided to try this. Keep in mind that it is still in development and due to that there will still be changes and upgrades/downgrades. All ideas are welcomed but I am not going to promise that I have the time for every ideas.

Love you all and happy printing!
