Several years ago I designed and published several components for a soldering workstation. Since then I've started using the wonderful gridfinity system for many things around my shop and have been meaning to upgrade my old tool holders to this system, well here it is. The modules are 2x2, 1x2 and 1x3. Although I've got them laid out on a 3x5 baseplate, many different configurations are available.
Several modules have seen a redesign to adjust for the new size and some new tools. There will also be a new flux holder to accomodate the MG Chemicals 10ml dispenser as soon as I can find mine.
The modules work with or without magnets in the base. I've added them after a time to make the system more solid.
Magnets: the solder cleaner uses 12mm x 3mm magnets . It's not a must have, but it does help. The gridfinity bases use 6mm x 2mm magnets, which are the standard across Gridfinity (according to https://gridfinity.xyz/specification/ ). No other magnets are used in this design.
