Bring a dreamy, celestial glow to your desk, shelf, or nightstand with this LED-backlit cat and crescent moon display! Featuring a stylish cat framed inside a star-filled crescent moon, this tabletop piece casts a soft, atmospheric glow day or night.

This model features a Lithophane Face Plate with an ultra-thin 0.0314″ (0.8mm) surface. When lit, light shines brightly through the star cutouts while casting a gentle, translucent glow across the face of the moon and cat!

Originally conceptualized as a custom woodworking project, this model has been fully adapted for 3D printing with precise tolerances, hidden wire routing, and customizable lighting options. Print it as a standalone desk accent, or use it as a physical template guide for scroll saw woodworking!

Key Features:

• Lithophane Dual-Glow Effect: The ultra-thin 0.0314″ (0.8mm) face allows brilliant light to pass through open star cutouts while scattering a soft, ambient glow across the rest of the display surface.

• Inner Arch Moonlight Spill: Designed without an outer perimeter wall along the crescent moon's inner curve, casting light outward to highlight the silhouette of the cat!

• Precision Fit & Wire Management: The base features built-in alignment insets and tabs to securely slot the moon and cat display upright, along with a discreet rear slotted pass-through to route power cords cleanly out the back.

• Versatile LED Backlighting Options: Designed with a hollowed-out rear cavity for mounting LED light strips. Choose between a standard base or an optional base with an integrated inset to run an LED strip directly across the base itself!

• Optional Rear Light Cover: Includes a matching backplate that screws directly to existing rear mounting holes, containing the light effect so it shines brightly through the front while concealing internal wiring.

• Woodworker & Hybrid Friendly: Functions as a physical template guide if you prefer cutting real wood for a hybrid build!

Print Settings

• Material: PLA or PETG

• Layer Height: 0.12mm to 0.20mm (0.12mm recommended for optimal lithophane translucency)

• Orientation: Print flat face down on the build plate for a smooth surface finish.    

• Supports: None required
