Every gear change in a sim is a little ritual, so why not do it on a turbo? TURBO turns the TH8S knob into a compressor housing. Your palm sits on the rolled inlet lip. Your fingers wrap the fluted centre housing. Your thumb rests on the discharge outlet. Inside the inlet, a backswept compressor wheel spins freely: flick it in the pits, or watch it spin down after a hard shift.
Tips:
- Print the wheel slowly; the blades are 1.2 mm thin. On a fast printer, cap the outer-wall speed or raise the minimum layer time.
- If your printer has strong elephant's foot, a small first-layer compensation keeps the thread entrance clean.
Assembly
1. Fit the official adapter to the TH8S lever, following Thrustmaster's PDF.
2. Push the compressor wheel onto the axle until the split head clicks through. It should spin freely with a flick.
3. Screw the lock ring onto the adapter thread, all the way down.
4. Screw the knob on by hand until it meets the ring. No force is needed.
5. Back the knob off, by less than a turn, until the outlet points at your thumb.
6. Hold the knob and turn the lock ring up against it to lock it in place.
