Modern & Practical Paper Towel Holder
A sturdy, clean, and easy-to-assemble paper towel holder. I have uploaded two different versions so you can choose the one that fits your needs and your 3D printer!
🟢 Version 1: The Fully 3D-Printed Version (No Hardware Required)
This is the original, fully 3D-printable design that requires no extra parts.
Anti-Spin Design: The center rod and the base feature a clever hexagonal fit to prevent the rod from spinning.
Secure Screw-On Cap: The threaded top piece screws easily onto the rod.
Assembly: Insert the hex rod into the base (glue is optional for a permanent hold).
⚠ IMPORTANT SIZE NOTE: The V1 rod is 259 mm tall. Please check your 3D printer's maximum build volume (Z-axis) before downloading!
🔵 Version 2: The Magnetic Snap-Fit Version (Premium Feel)
This upgraded version uses a magnet for a satisfying snap-fit connection, making it incredibly fast to change the paper towel roll.
Magnetic Base: The base is designed to hold a 20x7 mm countersunk pot magnet, while the bottom of the rod accommodates a metal plate.
Dowel-Secured Top: The top cap is attached using a hidden 3D-printed dowel instead of threads for a clean look.
Printer Friendly Sizes: V2 comes with two rod options:
230 mm rod: For larger printers.
220 mm rod: Optimized to fit perfectly on standard printers like the Prusa MK4S.
Hardware Required for V2:
1x Pot Magnet (20 x 7 mm, 10kg force): I recommend these: Magnetpro 20x7 mm on Amazon.de
1x Metal plate (for the base of the rod)
2x 3.2x16 mm screws (for securing the magnet and the metal plate. The screws included in the Magnetpro set mentioned above work perfectly and sit flush with the surface).
Print Settings & Tips (Both Versions):
File Matching: Please make sure you download the matching Base, Rod, and Top for the version you choose to print!
Material: Printed perfectly in PLA, but PETG is also a great choice.
Infill: 15-20% is recommended for a nice, sturdy feel.
Supports: Support may be necessary depending on your printer's bridging capabilities (especially around threads or the magnet recess).
