If you want to mount this TFT screen in a box then you need some way to keep it in place.
This is a bracket for WaveShare 4inch TFT Touch Shield if you are not mounting the screen on an Arduino card.
For example if you want the screen to be used with Raspberry Zero or Raspberry PICO.

Printing
You can either use the "combined" 3D object to get both parts aligned properly. But you get support columns to remove. (recommended)
You can print the "front" and "back" separately and then you get no support columns, but you have to align the two parts yourself and glue them together. This is hard. Keep your TFT away from the glue.

How to use
Put strips of welcro on the outside of the long sides of the frame.
Slide in the screen and seal the short side with a long thin piece of welcro to get a unit.
You can now slide the complete unit into the box cut-out and secure the unit with pieces of welcro on the inside.
You can at any point remove the welcro. Remove the unit from the box. Slide out the screen from the frame.

Made with AI
Idea: I have seen other brackets but none that exactly match the one I have. I have not seen any that should be mounted in a box.
Design: I have iterated and iterated until I get what I want.
Coding: I use OpenSCAD for modelling the 3D object. I use opencode as AI to code in OpenSCAD.
How: I tell the AI where the SCAD file is and what I want. I see the changes in OpenSCAD.
Process: Slow painful steps to start with simple geometric figures. After a while we must agree what is left, right, up, down, back, front.
Every little change is described with a lot of words. Many many prompts have to be interrupted and corrected.
Slowly we understand each other. I get better at describing. AI get better at understanding.
The skill we improve is our combined effort over time. We name some design parts so it needs fewer words the next time I need something similar.
It will never be a smooth process.
Made with AI - Yes, but mostly made with sweat and determination.
