This custom 3D-printed modular shop shim is engineered to simplify OSHA-mandated floor anchoring for 2x4 leg workbenches while maintaining effortless leveling control.

Key features of this functional design include:

• Infinite Rotational Pivot: A nested, interlocking circular joint allows the horseshoe anchor pad to swing freely to any angle. This gives total layout flexibility to bolt down angle-iron brackets onto either the narrow side or wide face of the bench leg without binding.

• Dual-Pin Stackable Registration: Small integrated alignment pins on the upper face lock securely into corresponding pockets on the bottom of matching modules. This allows you to stack multiple shims to compensate for severe floor drops without the layers sliding or vibrating apart. If a single flat layer is all you need, these thin pins can be easily snipped or sanded off in seconds.

• 45-Degree Chamfer Profile: Replacing traditional sharp steps with a smooth 45-degree chamfer removes critical stress concentration points to prevent shearing along layer lines. It also serves as a self-supporting angle during printing, allowing the separate pieces to be printed completely flat against the bed without any waste or support material.

• Solid Industrial Print Setting Recommendations: Flipped and printed solid out of PETG filament using continuous concentric perimeters, the shim functions as a rugged, non-compressible block that can easily withstand the heavy crushing forces of a shop workbench.
