A simple, practical solution for adding an extra hanging point wherever you need one.

This 3D-printed hook is designed for 18 mm laminated chipboard. It simply hooks over the top edge of a suitable board, allowing you to hang everyday items without drilling holes, installing screws or using adhesive.

Use it on suitable drawer fronts, cabinet doors, shelves or other furniture panels. It is ideal for hanging bags, jackets, small accessories and other lightweight everyday items.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the most useful!

How to use

1. Choose a suitable panel with an accessible top edge.

2. Place the hook over the edge of the 18 mm laminate board.

3. Check that it fits securely and sits correctly.

4. Hang your bag, jacket or other suitable item.

Before closing a drawer or cabinet door, make sure the hook does not interfere with its movement.

Recommended print settings

These settings are recommended for this model.

• Material: PLA or PETG

• Layer height: 0.20 mm

• Perimeters / wall loops: 6–7

• Infill: 0% if the perimeters fill the entire model

• Supports: Check the slicer preview for the intended print orientation

Printing notes

The design uses a high number of perimeters to form the hook's body almost entirely from the outer walls. This provides a simple print with low material consumption and no unnecessary internal infill.

Check the slicer preview to confirm that the walls form the complete cross-section. If any internal gaps remain, adjust the wall count or use the appropriate slicer setting to ensure the intended solid geometry.

Both PLA and PETG are suitable for typical indoor use. PETG is a good option when additional toughness is desired.

Compatibility

Designed for panels with a nominal thickness of 18 mm.

Actual panel thickness, edge banding and manufacturing tolerances may affect the fit. Check the clearance on your particular furniture before use.

Important note

This hook is intended for ordinary, lightweight everyday items. No specific load capacity has been established, so avoid heavy loads and inspect the hook regularly for cracks or deformation.
