🛠 Magnetic Custom Minecraft Papercraft Minifigures

Have you always wanted a physical minifigure of your custom Minecraft character? By combining 3D-printed core limbs, 5x2 mm neodymium magnets, and standard Pixel Papercraft printouts, you can bring your skin off the screen and onto your desk!

This design uses 3D-printed internal blocks that fit inside standard Minecraft papercraft skins, giving them structural support, durable weight, and fully dynamic magnetic posability for the head, arms, and legs.

📦 Materials & Accessories Needed

  • 3D Printed Core Set: Head, torso, arms, and legs (printed in standard PLA/PETG).

  • Magnets: 5x2 mm round neodymium magnets (recessed into joint sockets).

  • Papercraft Skins: Printed paper skins cut out and wrapped around the 3D-printed cores.

  • Glue/Adhesive: Double-sided tape, glue stick, Mod Podge, for mounting the paper skin and superglue for securing the magnets.

📏 Precise Pixel Dimensions (1 Pixel = 2mm)

Designed strictly following original Minecraft voxel proportions:

  • Head: 16 x 16 x 16 mm

  • Torso: 24 x 16 x 8 mm

  • Arms (Left & Right): 24 x 8 x 8 mm

  • Legs (Left & Right): 24 x 8 x 8 mm

💡 Pro Tip: Waterproofing & Protecting Your Figures

Papercraft inks can smudge, run, or warp if exposed to moisture or frequent handling. To make your figures durable and water-resistant:

  1. Mod Podge (Recommended): Apply 1–2 thin coats of Mod Podge (Matte finish) over the papercraft skin after wrapping your printed core. It seals the paper, glues the edges flat, and cures into a durable, moisture-resistant protective shell.

  2. Clear Acrylic Spray: Apply 1–2 light coats of Matte Clear Acrylic Spray onto your paper printout before cutting, or over the finished figure.

  3. Laminate: Use thin, clear cold-laminate film stuck over the printout sheet before cutting and assembling.

I would love to see your characters down below! ;)

Thank you, and as always, Stay Blessed!
