WoolRest - Paintable Nativity Sheep | Resting & Standing

Two matching sheep for a paintable Nativity scene: a resting pose and a standing pose, with sculpted fleece, leaf ears, facial details, cloven hooves and an integral oval base. Print in one colour, then paint to suit your village or diorama.

Choose your pose

• Resting R02: 58.50 × 33.50 × 34.07 mm.

• Standing R03: 58.50 × 33.50 × 48.07 mm.

Dimensions are at 100%. Each pose is one piece. The standing model adds four shaped legs and a slightly offset stance while retaining the same fleece and head style.

Files and printing

Choose the STL or matching geometry-only 3MF for your pose. Units are millimetres. The 3MF includes placement without a printer profile or G-code; centre the model in your own slicer and allow room for supports and any brim.

Keep the oval base flat on the bed. Digital reference checks use a 0.4 mm nozzle and 0.16 mm layers. Supports are needed; inspect below the belly, chest and ears, and check access around the legs. Let the print cool and remove supports gradually without using the legs as handles.

The original R02 files and R02 PDF remain available for the resting pose. The standing pose has its own README_WoolRest_Standing_R03_EN_IT.txt and editable source build_woolrest_standing.py. Use the instructions for the pose you choose.

Painting

The colour example suggests six areas: ivory fleece, warm grey face and outer ears, sand-coloured legs, dark brown hooves and facial features, an earth-coloured base and soft pink inner ears. The colours are a painting suggestion for the same single-piece model.

Verification status

Geometry, STL/3MF correspondence and generated print paths are checked separately for each released pose. Neither pose has yet been physically printed, cleaned or painted. Support removal, strength and stability remain untested. Small ear tips and fleece details may soften or be omitted with a 0.4 mm nozzle.
