I printed the original and found it a very nice idea, but I had problems printing the overhangs of the fixation. Even when splitting the part in two and adding connectors as suggested.
Using it, discovered that after an off-on cycle it gets quite full. Also the base is quite small and is easy to spill water with a small bump.
So, I redesigned the original part to improve these aspects. The main goal was to have a design that can be printed without supports, on any printer.
This part is now 120mm wide, instead of the original 80-90mm, to ensure it does not fill too close to edge.
Printed in PETG, 3 perimeters and 0.2mm layers.
I am publishing also the STEP file in case someone want to make additional improvements.
