Astrelle, Starry Sky Cube Lamp

Astrelle

A cube full of stars. Round holes of every size and a few four-point stars are cut through the walls and over the top, so with the light on, the cube turns into a small starry sky.

Calm and soft on a bedside table, in a child's room, a reading corner or on a desk at the end of the day. Runs on a standard 60 mm USB LED light kit and twists and clips together without glue or screws.

Swap the glow

The colour comes from the Diffuser, a thin insert printed in Spiral vase. Print a few in different colours: pull the Sleeve gently off the Lock ring, swap the Diffuser and clip the Sleeve back on.

Prefer one Diffuser for everything? Print it in white and use an RGB LED light: the cube then glows in any colour your light can make.

A dark or sparkly Sleeve keeps the stars crisp. A light pastel Sleeve also glows softly through its walls.

Two sizes

You will need

One 60 mm LED light kit, USB, 5 V. Nothing else.

Printing

Each file has two plates:

• Base and Sleeve: the Base, the Lock ring and the Sleeve.

• Diffuser components: the Diffuser and the Diffuser cap, already set to Spiral vase on the plate.

The settings are already in the files. Printing from your own profile? Use these:

• Wall generator: Arachne, for every part.

• Diffuser and Diffuser cap: Spiral vase.

• Sleeve: 3 walls, wall order outer/inner.

• Base and Lock ring: concentric top surface, 7 % gyroid infill.

• Supports: off.

Print the Diffuser in a light or translucent filament, so the glow comes through.

Assembly

1. Drop the LED light into the Base and lead the cable out through the slot.

2. Twist the Lock ring onto the Base until it stops.

3. Lay the Diffuser cap on the Lock ring and push the Diffuser onto it.

4. Clip the Sleeve onto the Lock ring, over the edge that runs around it.
