This is a replacement lamp shade forNorthlight 36-4985. It should however work for any lamp to which where a 2.8 cm lamp shade can be attached.

The lithophane slices can be replaced depending on holiday.

I used Build Plate Adhesion Type Brim to make it stand solid on build plate during printing.

Assemble

The Lithophane slices are a little bit bigger per design. Use a sandpaper to make the ends of them thinner and shorter so they fit snuggly. Do not use to much force when putting these in as they break easily.

Lithophane ==========

You need to print 6 lithophane panels. Images should have following settings:

  • Resolution of 5600x898, or similar aspect ratio.
  • Borders fade to black.

How to:

  1. Slice and add borders fading to black using image editor.
  2. Upload images to https://3dp.rocks/lithophane/
  3. Go to Model Settings and use: *Maximum Size (MM) 230 *Thickness (MM) 2 *Border (MM) 2 *Thinnest Layer (MM) 0.7 *Vectors Per Pixel 6 *Base/Stand Depth 0 *Curve 180
  4. Go to Image settings and make sure you use Positive Image.
  5. Under model use Outer Curve.
  6. Download .stl file and print with white filament using following settings: *Infill 100 *Dynamic Quality 0.16mm *Build Plate Adhesion Type Brim

I usedExtrudr PLA NX2 White filament for slices.
