I noticed there's nothing like this on Printables so I upload my remix of spricvector's design (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2213031), which is also a remix of FactoryStandard's original model (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2108142). Big credits to these guys.
I simply removed the “chain length gauge” text to make it print a little bit faster and to look cleaner. I modeled it from an imported stl, so the file is a bit of a mess, but it should print cleanly.
How to use this kind of tool:
The difference here is that the side with “good to go” is supposed to fall between links even if the chain is in good condition
