Case for HMTECH 10" Capacitive Touchscreen
I recommend PLA over ABS to avoid issues with warping, especially if using a Prusa MK3S, because the model goes all the way to the edges of the print bed.
**In order to make it fit in the print bed (if using PrusaSlicer), it is necessary to set the skirt to 0 loops. Otherwise it will send an error about "print moves outside of print area"
I set the supports to be at 45º to make it a little easier to remove, as well as give them a bit more rigidity since they would print as straight lines otherwise (for the sliding parts).
Also suggest using the "snug" option for supports in PrusaSlicer to make things fit inside the print bed.
It came out to be a very snug fit with the screen to the point where it is a bit hard to take the screen out once assembled. If you do need to take it out, i recommend slowly pushing up from the HDMI port until the top of the screen clears the edge enough to take it out with your hands. Be careful not to bend the HDMI port though.
DO NOT INSERT A SCREW DRIVER (or similar) INTO THE BOTTOM CUT-OUT TO TAKE OUT THE SCREEN!!! The cut-out was designed to give the ribbon cables some room to avoid breaking them. Inserting something to remove the screen will likely break said ribbon cables!!!
I am not responsible for any damages. Use of this model is at your own risk.

Clean out the supports!
Make sure to clean out the support material really good, otherwise you might run into problems with sliding both parts of the cover together. The model has really small tolerances between parts :)
As long as you clean it off real good and your printer is set up correctly, you shouldn't have much of a problem.Category: Electronics
