It is difficult to hold small parts when you are trying to paint highlights or the entire part. So I created handles with half of a PrintABlok connector on one end to hold the part while painting and bases with a hole to easily insert the other end of the handle while the paint is drying. The combination works well for parts that are one, two of three block in size. Larger parts might require several handles and bases.
To provide flexibility I also created modified base blocks that can be connected to standard base blocks to create any size base. This could be especially useful for spray painting to ensure the part does not fall over.
Handles and bases are provided for 100% (16mm), 125% (20mm) and 150% (24mm) bloks.
I printed my paint tools using a 04mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height with 2 solid bottom layers, 3 top solid layers, 3 perimeter shells and 20% infill.
