This Fume Extractor removes or greatly reduces the toxic fumes from soldering electronics. They are available from several manufacturers in the $50+ usd price range. I used an ARCTIC P14 - 140 mm PC case fan designed to be Pressure-optimized. You’ll need a printer with at least a 200 x 200 build platform to build this. The “Base” has 2 options. There is a single piece and a two piece base. The single piece needs to be printed on a larger printer with a 300 x 300 build area. The 2 piece base can be printed on 200mm x 200mm printers. The filter section is made to tilt on the base. However there is no need to. There are provisions to add a pin to limit the tilt so the wires don’t get damaged if tilted to far. The carbon filter measures 5-1/8” x 5-1/8” x 3/8”. I used Xntum brand replacement filters found on Amazon that fit the Hakko 493 and FA-400, Xytronic 426DLX and 456DLX and Aoyue 486 etc. The Front and Rear Bezels have tabs to make it easy to remove the front for filter replacement. They can be
places on the top or bottom. But pay attention to how it is assembled before running your fan wires. All files with assembly instructions are in the zip file
