I saw the original model on Hackaday and decided to add my own motorized Usb-C spin on it! Only the chain links and the top cover are original, everything else has been slightly edited to fit the small dc motor i added.
Electronic circuit consists of a switch, the Usb-C female port, motor and a 1N4007 diode for protection.
I used this motor i had lying around:
Assembly is pretty self explanatory but here are some images to help.
Left (Axle) : Insert an M4 heat-set insert.
Right (Bolt) : M4 screw
Sandwich Axle and Bolt between Sprocket and screw together. Then friction fit the assembly onto the motor.
