This is an ant trap holder for those little tin ant traps from the hardware store. If you have ants indoors you may not want kids or pets to play with the trap, this might help. Put the trap in this holder, screw on the cap and place. Its a modification of a great design by Fredslund, Screw Cap Storage. Changes from original are only:
- 8 Holes around the base, ants can easily get in and out.
- The screw cap has a central post to help keep the trap from moving around
- The inside centre of the base is recessed, to allow the trap to self centre and stay in place.
With the recess in the base and the post in the top, once screwed together the trap stays in place, does not move around. For consideration (not part of this project)….the outside of this holder could be embossed with a warning of some kind to indicate this container has ant poison in it. I've provided a photo example of what I did.
