The only problem I have with the direct drive setup is that there is nothing keeping the bowden tube in place where it sits against the extruder. In a stock setup, there isn't enough space to use the original pneumatic coupler so you are left to wiggle and bounce your filament against the tube until you find alignment. I designed this to solve that issue and maintain rigidity.
Use:
Slip the part over the tube before installing. Insert the bowden bottom first (the end inserted in the heatbreak of the hotend) then slide the fitting up and thread it into the extruder. Simple as that. No need to overtorque or overtighten the nut. It is simply holding the tube centered. If you do happen to snap off the threads, you have 2 options. 1. congratulations! It is doing exactly what it was intended to do, bravo. 2. the threads will remove easily by sticking a small flathead inside and unthreading.
*side note - I use the tip of a utility knife to carefully scrape the inner diameter of the ptfe and bore out the tip a bit to assist in this fix. Up to you but, if you do, make sure there are no shavings or dust left inside the tube.

Printing:
This is a very small and fragile piece. Slow and precise is the goal.
- 100% infill
- 20mms print speed
- whatever material you like
- no brim or supports. Use 5ish skirts or a purge line to get the material going.
I recommend printing with a .2 nozzle if you have it. Otherwise a standard .4 will work fine. A little filing with a circular micro file on the inside will make it slide a bit smoother. The piece is so small that I couldn't go any larger on the interior diameter.
