This rests on the inside of a car door and holds a portable two way radio next to the side window. The belt clip on the radio holds the radio in place. This holds the radio very near the window, where the radio should perform much better with the rubber duck antenna.
I sized the part that accepts the belt clip for my Motorola XPR7550, but it should work well with many other radio types.
When I was growing up, we used to have cup holders that looked just like this. Before there were cup holders in cars.
I printed this using PETG. I printed supports inside the cavity where the belt clip slides into, but I used my slicer to remove approximately 50% of those supports to make them easier to remove after it's done finishing. My first print warped a bit which made the cavity narrower at each end. Which made removing the supports difficult. The warping caused the supports to be larger then the opening.
