Tippmann X7 Phenom Piston Guard

The OEM ports on the Cyclone loader are simply a few small holes drilled in the housing to allow the gas that cycles the feed to exhaust. This leaves them completely exposed to the elements.

If you play woodsball/milsim this leaves them at risk of getting dirt, mud and water into the housing, (or more likely) when you take a hit from a paintball to the housing, it can force paint into these ports which will gum up and slow the mechanism, meaning it needs to be disassembled fully to clean it. 

This protective shield simply clips on perfectly without needing to remove any component. It has a 1mm clearance around the gas ports and is fully open on the rear (where it's protected from paintballs) allowing the gas to easy vent unrestricted, whilst providing you complete protection to the ports! 

I've tested this at 20 bps / 1200 rpm full auto and it doesn't move, vibrate or flex at all, and allows full exhaust flow without slowing down the cycling whatsoever! Perfectly reliable feeding! 

Should automatically orient correctly when loading into your slicer, if not orient it vertically (tall) with the wider part at the base.

- 0.4mm nozzle
-Use a 10mm brim and don't use ‘speed’ settings, this is a tall and narrow object so needs to print at normal or slow speeds or your print may fail as it gets taller due to resonance and vibrations
- No supports needed!
- I printed in PLA for the extra stiffness, but PETG should work too (not tested)
