to which i added end-stops shoulders, and a few chamfers here and there.
Previous design did not sit flush with my keystone panel as nothing prevented it from going to far in, and eventually fall.
I think it went full circle because itself was a remix from @Tyler's,

which had end-stops but too small to be effective on my panel.
