About
The Ultimount is a low profile, invisible and easy to print (zero supports needed) mounting hook solution for the Ikea Skadis.
The hooks and mounts have been designed to ensure no supports are needed to print either the hook, or the mounts when printed vertically (how most holders will be printed). No tools are needed for their construction or use and the hooks are invisible when in use.
The have a locking mechanism which gives a satisfying ‘click’ when they are locked in position, and do not come loose while in-use. They are however simple to remove by pushing down on the hook (the suggested print orientation makes the hooks very strong in the vertical direction).

Also included are PDF dimensions for creating your own models that will be compatible with the connector. They are very low profile, and the only significant requirement is that the back of the holder where the hooks are added are at least 4mm thick (5mm preferable).

I love to see remixes and new models that use the Ultimount hooks, but where possible please could you avoid directly adding the hooks into print profiles or models downloads and instead link to the Ultimount hook directly. Unfortunately, due to the way Printables works, including the hooks directly prevents any direct attribution to this model, and thus the model looses out on downloads/views which ultimately reduces the visibility of the Ultimount (and also prevents any accumulation of Prusameters). |
Credits
The Ultimount hook is based on the Dovetail Hook from Tiggr, and updated to provide more rigidity and allowing for easier addition/removal.
